Event Brief
To produce a Christmas Activation with a difference for Eastern Creek Quarter, that is interactive, drives customers in to the centre and, most of all, is Covid Safe.
The Concept
A modern twist on the traditional Christmas look using a colour palette that is fresh, new and stylish. Walk through a series of Instagram-able and family friendly Christmas scenes, Integrated Augmented Reality technology, creating engagement and interaction with take always for each attendee.
A fresh new colour palette that reinvents Christmas to a modern audience. Referencing native florals, food as well as a true Australian summer landscape. Deep and rich in darker hues that reference traditional Christmas colours such as Cranberry, deep Teal and Emerald Green complimented with a more fun, energetic and eye-catching colour series focusing on pastels, metallics and neon.
We wanted to create a unique story to enrich our Christmas Cave experience. The 12 Elves of Christmas now have a new tale, they had gone missing and they must be found. We created a treasure hunt to find them and save Christmas, A Christmas story told through words and pictures across one of the cave walls, guests were encouraged to use the AR function in the ECQ Rewards App to follow the story along the wall. AR interaction and animation: elements within picture frames came alive.
The entrance tunnel was the first step in to the fantastical, with tinsel lined tunnel with specialty lighting effects and mirror balls, Candy striped walls with mirror ball and candy cane props, an Augmented Reality Santa, so he is covid safe, was a hit with his dancing antics for the kids and older kids alike.
Delivery
With many instagramable moments such as the naughty and nice wall, Elfie Selfie, a wall of presents, a digital Christmas countdown to draw attention to the ECQ Christmas Cave with a multicoloured hanging Christmas bauble wall backdrop and LCD screen displaying a countdown to Christmas Day. The Christmas Cave was a hit right through the month of December. Pre designed Santa Letters were created for kids to write their Christmas wishes and post to Santa direct to the South Pole and our onsite staff were on hand at the ECQ Christmas Snow Globe to take that important picture for your family Christmas snap.
