Gala Dinner “Halloween”

Mister Milford was tasked with creating a unique and out of the box Gala Dinner for this conference group. From the theme, entertainment, creative planning and execution, food and beverage, theming, staging, event direction and much more, this was a dream event for our team which became an entity unto itself that you live and breathe in the lead-up, during the event and for weeks after the event completion!

Guests arrived on buses and disembarked straight into the first venue of the evening, the Haunted House. The space was a fully immersive haunted house set up for a cocktail function. All event staff, waiters, bartenders were all in theme – the food and beverage all part of the look. There were contortionists, live music, magicians, tarot readers and a sense of spookiness in the air. Little did our Guests know that this was only the beginning. 

Partway through the evening, there was a shrill squeal, thunder crashed and the lighting in the room changed, smoke giving way to show a witch atop a cauldron who then performed “I put a spell on you” for the thrilled audience.

On completing the number – another scream and shrill laughter from our favourite witch. She leaps from her podium and storms through the back wall, with her head back cackling in laughter she tears through the fake wall at the back of the room to reveal a HUGE banquet hall with 3 seemingly endless rows of tables and beckons the guests to follow her through the spider webs into the dining space that has now sprung to life.

Guests were taken through and seated in the revealed space where they enjoyed a 3 course, horror-themed dinner with entertainment, bands, DJs and a very special performance by the “Sanderson Sisters” from “Hocus Pocus” fame.

The surprise and delight from the evening will ensure that these guests will be talking about their Halloween Gala Dinner for many years to come.
